Bench Scale Treatment Studies (BSTS) help us identify appropriate chemistry, formulation, dosages and pricing options. BSTS allow development of site specific blends for Free Flow clients resulting in increased efficiency and cost reduction.
Free Flow’s bench scale treatment studies provide the following:
On-site guidance for technical applications and cost effective use of Free Flow products.
Our experienced staff works directly with you or your representative to ensure each step of the process involving our products are focused on project success.
Support includes: logistics control, storage/handling procedures, application direction and sampling & analysis direction.
We are pleased to announce the development of a new blend that some are calling the perfect blend. Free Flow has worked closely with the applied chemistry lab at RMT to develop a blend that provides a broader range of effective treatment for RCRA metals under a variety of onsite conditions.
The chemistry is robust and fast acting to form insoluble salts with RCRA metals at low dosages and ensures protection from future liability in commercial and onsite landfills. The FF-300 material is unlike the competitor who merely adjusts the pH to achieve low leachability of metals. There are 2 problems with the competitors approach.
1) The pH may change in the landfill and allow the metals to leach into the environment and
2) wastes with high amounts of leachable cadmium require heavy reagent dosages from our competitor of up to 20 to 30 % to effectively meet the land ban standards.
For every ton of waste treated at the facility the potential is there for the competitor to add an additional 600 pounds of reagent to meet the same standard as achieved by the FF-300 product.
Another advantage of the FF-300 product is the cost savings. Compared to our competitor this chemistry is selling at half the cost and ensures a lower dosage than other chemistries.
